Archer Drive Reserve upgrade
ClientMelton Shire Council
Kurunjang is fast growing area within the City of Melton and Archer Drive Reserve is an important open space within the suburb. With an aged playground and limited picnicking facilities, the brief was to incorporate a new playground with undercover picnic facilities, seating, improved landscaping, a multipurpose court, additional shade trees, additional shared pathways and perimeter fencing. The result is an enhanced recreational space for local residents.
The Masterplan undertaken by Council identified the need for more natural shade, and enhanced picnic facilities and recreational opportunities. The challenge was to place these zones appropriately so they compliment each other within the overall aesthetics of the reserve.
2MH worked closely with the Project Control Group (PCG), through the design process from Concept design to final design and documentation.
